About the Journal
Education, Development, Neurodiversity, and Autism (EDNA) is a multilingual, diamond open-access scientific journal specializing in the dissemination of innovative research and educational practices in the field of education and human development, with a particular focus on autism and other neurodivergent conditions (ADHD, giftedness, dyslexia, among others).
Our Objective
EDNA promotes the well-being and full development of autistic individuals and other neurodivergent conditions throughout the entire life cycle. It fosters international and intercultural dialogue, seeking to articulate different themes, perspectives, and levels of analysis, recovering and disseminating knowledge, skills, and experiences, promoting education and development both globally and locally in a situated and contextualized manner. It publishes original research, systematic reviews, methodological advances, case studies, multicenter studies, educational experiences, clinical or controlled trials, book reviews, theses, interviews, and practical guides, for use by professionals, families, research teams, and anyone interested in the field of neurodiversity and autism. The journal stands out for its interdisciplinary and multimethodological scientific approach, the inclusion of first, second, and third-person perspectives on autism and other neurodivergent conditions, and its commitment to equity, autonomy, and accessibility. Editorial Policy
- Copyright notice: Authors retain copyright, granting EDNA a non-exclusive license for publication and distribution.
- Originality: EDNA considers original and unpublished work for evaluation. Manuscripts with DOIs that have been previously shared at scientific events (without publication in proceedings) or disseminated as preprints on academic social networks (without peer review) may still be submitted.
- Declaration of sponsorship: Authors are requested to declare conflicts of interest and external funding.
- Privacy statement: Confidentiality of personal data is guaranteed.
- Digital preservation: EDNA participates in LOCKSS or CLOCKSS archiving systems to ensure long-term preservation of content.
